Agenda Item 2 - Announcements Alan Egger distributed an article "Colleges Strive to Give Disabled Students Access to On-Line Courses" and asked that the group review the article and think about possible implications that the council has not considered and e-mail comments to him. Terry Lay reported on his trip to New Brunswick for the North American Web Conference. One keynote address was delivered by Robert Cailiau from CERN who, with Tim Berners-Lee, is credited with developing the World Wide Web. The address title was "WWW: What We Want?" and Cailiau spoke on the history of the web and the directions that he believes it will take. Another keynote speaker was Bebo White, from Stanford University, speaking on the evolution of the "Webmaster". Among the workshops attended were workshops focussing on effective (web) course design and issues relating to accessibility. Terry will get with his contacts in Toronto and discuss the article that Alan Egger distributed.
