Bereits als elfjähriger Junge trat er im Vorprogramm von Helen Vita auf. Mit 16 hatte er mit dem RIAS-Tanzorchester unter Leitung von Horst Jankowski seinen ersten Fernsehauftritt. Im Alter von 18 wurde er am Hohner-Konservatorium in Trossingen aufgenommen und in den Fächern Klavier, Gitarre und Gesang ausgebildet. Von 1989 bis 1992 trat Roger Cicero mit dem Horst-Jankowski-Trio, dem Eugen-Cicero-Trio (Gruppe seines Vaters) sowie mit dem Bundesjugendjazzorchester unter Leitung von Peter Herbolzheimer auf. Von 1991 bis 1996 studierte er Jazzgesang an der Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten (Amsterdamer Hochschule der Künste) in Hilversum . In der Folgezeit wurde er Gastsänger bei den Gruppen Jazzkantine und Soulounge , mit denen er 2003 beim Montreux Jazz Festival teilnahm. 2003 gründete er das Roger-Cicero-Quartett. Cicero residents have received more than $10 million, the largest amount given to any one suburban community. Residents in Westchester, which was also hit hard, has received about $8 million in FEMA reimbursements. Residents in the West suburbs qualified for flood relief when President Barack Obama declared Cook and DuPage counties disaster areas. FEMA is still evaluating requests for reimbursement relief from the various government agencies which have spent more than $14 million in government services to fight the flood. FEMA said that for governments to be reimbursed, the total government expenditure for the region had to exceed $17 million. Ramos said he expects that to be reached soon as continued cleanup and follow-up expenditures related to the flooding count towards the reimbursement threshold.

Extractions: MARCUS TULLIUS CICERO Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43 BC) is too well known to demand much of an historical introduction. His anti-Sullan operations, his speeches against Cataline the slave unionist, his at times almost-balanced relations with Caesar, his attack on the infamous Clodius, brother of Clodia (Catullus' Lesbia, see Cicero's speech "Pro Caelio)), and the details of his multifarious political career are documented in every work on Roman history. Suffice it here to survey the ten volumes of 500 pages each which constitute the printed works of Cicero in a modern (e.g. Teubner) series. The speeches are the best known, since they constitute in this country a part of the high-school required reading in Latin. The elaborate style was derived from models over several centuries of Greek rhetorical discipline and speechmaking, which Cicero took seriously. Thoroughly acquainted with the Ten Attic Orators and the theoreticians, he adapted their language to Latin, favoring the flowery or as it was then called, "Asiatic" style, which became a synonym for Ciceronian rhetorical style. Tiro, a diligent slave perfected a system of Latin shorthand, which served to preserve fairly accurately Cicero's speeches. A number of medieval MSS in "Tironian annotation" survive, containing much of the master's speeches and perhaps more than we are aware of, since the specialization required for a study of this exoteric field deters all but the most laborious of scholars. The list of extant speeches is immense, the text fills several volumes. The commonly read speech against Cataline and Pro Archia Poeta represent the very tip of the iceberg; Catullans should read the Pro Caelio, while a serious historian has to peruse all the speeches carefully.

Extractions: It is generally said, that Helvia, the mother of Cicero, was both well born and lived a fair life; but of his father nothing is reported but in extremes. For whilst some would have him the son of a fuller, and educated in that trade, others carry back the origin of his family to Tullus Attius, an illustrious king of the Volscians, who waged war not without honor against the Romans. However, he who first of that house was surnamed Cicero seems to have been a person worthy to be remembered; since those who succeeded him not only did not reject, but were fond of that name, though vulgarly made a matter of reproach. For the Latins call a vetch Cicer, and a nick or dent at the tip of his nose, which resembled the opening in a vetch, gave him the surname of Cicero. Cicero, whose story I am writing, is said to have replied with spirit to some of his friends, who recommended him to lay aside or change the name when he first stood for office and engaged in politics, that he would make it his endeavor to render the name of Cicero more glorious than that of the Scauri and Catuli. And when he was quaestor in Sicily, and was making an offering of silver plate to the gods, and had inscribed his two names, Marcus and Tullius, instead of the third he jestingly told the artificer to engrave the figure of a vetch by them. Thus much is told us about his name.

Extractions: Basics on Cicero Marcus Tullius Cicero rose remarkably to the top of the Roman political hierarchy, fell precipitously, went into exile because of his hostile relations with Clodius Pulcher , made a permanent name for himself in Latin literature, and had contact with contemporaries like his confidant Atticus, and all the big names, Caesar Pompey Mark Antony and Octavian (Augustus). Cicero came from Arpinum, in Italy. He entered the Senate in 74 B.C. and became consul in 64, beating an aristocrat, Lucius Sergius Catilina (Catiline) . This same Catilina was later implicated in a plot to overthrow the government, which is known as the conspiracy of Catiline or the Catilinarian Conspiracy. Cicero suppressed it and had members of it executed. In the tumult over this extra-legal move, Cicero was forced into exile. In 50 B.C. he returned to Rome and joined Caesar's rival, Pompey. When Caesar defeated Pompey in 48, Cicero accepted Caesar's friendship. After Caesar died, Cicero supported his successor Octavian (Augustus), but was still proscribed and murdered on December 7, 43 B.C.
