    Extractions: The culture of Cameroon is very interesting and unique in many ways. The culture of Cameroon has over 130 ethnic groups. There are five main ones in Africa today. They are Bamileke, Bamoun in the west, Fulani and Kirdi in the north, and Ewondo which is around Yaounde. The group of Bamileke is the most populous group in the west. The Bamileke has taken up much of Cameroons economy. In the homeland there are some eighty political chiefs. The south part of Africa has been in contact with Europe for over 500 years. The Fulani kingdoms are mainly centred in Nigeria. The tradition of outside communication still remains very strong. Most northern are mainly Kirdi. The Kirdi are mainly comprised of tribes. They are located near the Nigerian border. Language There are two main languages in Cameroon: English and French. French is the main widely spoken especially in large cities. Among most of the languages in Cameroon the five major ones are Bamileke, Ewobdi, Bamoun, Fulfulde and Arabic. Music The music of Africa is the most popular in Cameroon. The main type of music is Makossa. You will hear this type of music blaring out of clubs throughout Africa. There are many different types of music, but Makossa is the most popular in Cameroon.
