Extractions: Math Software Math Software Geometry Tutorials Written by Tara Peris Finding decent geometry tutorials is easy these days, given the proliferation of online tutoring centers. Whether you are a parent looking for help for your grade school child, or an adult cramming for a graduate entrance exam, there are likely to be online resources to meet your needs. The trick is to evaluate the level and scope of assistance you will need and use that to guide you toward the best resource. Geometry and algebra are tough for many people the first time around. Given this, it is not uncommon for middle school students to look for geometry tutorials or algebra assistance outside the classroom. Whether in the form of one-on-one tutoring or online help, there are a number of ways to gain a firmer grasp of math material. Indeed, it is not only middle school children who find they need a bit of help. Many people interested in graduate education find that they need to brush up on skills that have long been rusty. Even if you breezed through math once upon a time, it is all too easy to forget the basics. Further, it is these basic geometry and algebra skills that pop up on everything from the GRE to the MCAT. A good option for students of all ages is to use computerized help. You can attempt to use the Internet to find an online tutor, or you can look for computerized geometry tutorials that you can purchase for your home computer. These days, academic aid is accessible and easy to afford.

20. Geometry Tutorial
This tutorial covers the Geometry in Euclid's Elements. Euclid 's famous text was the book for the study of Geometry until the 19th century.
http://www.gbt.org/geo.html

Extractions: Tutorial This tutorial covers the Geometry in Euclid's Elements Euclid 's famous text was "the" book for the study of Geometry until the 19th century. It has been studied by a host of intellectual greats. His systematic approach to Geometry is not a only a tremendous study in how to think and reason, but it became the paradigm that later philosophers would attempt to follow in setting up their own systems of thought. There is really no other mathematical text that rivals its impact on intellectual history. This tutorial is highly recommended not only for its tremendous historical value, but also as a fine addition to the Geometry-starved Saxon program. The only fault I see with the Saxon programs is its meager treatment of Geometric proofs. Along with Saxon, most modern math texts are downplaying Geometric proofs because they are teaching to the SAT and it does not require proofs. But after going through the magnificent proofs of Euclid , you will see why his work is truly a mathematical classic.
