This Ring is dedicated to uniting resources in Creative Drama and Youth Theatre on the World Wide Web. This ring was founded because of the dearth of CDYT resources available using conventional search engines. A frequently asked question among teachers wanting to use drama in the classroom is "Where do I find material?" Member sites provide resources for use in Creative Drama and Youth Theatre (as the name of the ring implies) or have information about how to use drama in a classroom setting. Youth Theatre Companies with resource materials about their productions are also welcome to join the Ring. As always, it falls to those of us in the field who care about drama and drama education to create our own solutions. Please use these sites and please let us know how things are going.

Building An Antiwar Movement Building the movement newsletters, mailing lists, teachins, websites, gatherings, benefit gigs, etc. Stopping the machine in its tracks 5-minute strikes for peace http://www.struggle.ws/issues/war/afghan/pamwt/antiwar.html
Extractions: It's easy to feel despair, isolation and frustration at what's presented to us as an inevitable drive into an indefinitely long war. The key ingredients of success in building a successful anti-war movement are confidence in ordinary people's potential, solidarity with each other and a long-term view: we have not been able to prevent the first bombs falling, but over time we can reverse the dynamic and stop the war. Historical experience - desertion and mutinies at the end of World War I, the international movement against the war in Vietnam, the anti-nuclear movement of the 1980s - shows that movements can stop or divert even large-scale processes of militarisation, but only when large numbers of ordinary people are actively involved. The experience of active involvement in turn gives people more confidence in their own capacities to think and act for themselves, which is an important element in building a better world. This means: 1. Making space for a diversity of voices within the movement. To insist on expressing only the most radical line will isolate activists at the very time when many ordinary people are looking for a way out. To insist on being as "mainstream" as possible will stop the movement developing and restrict participation to a small section of the population. So a good "platform" will include as wide a range of anti-war voices as possible. This enables the movement to speak to different people and is part of learning from each other.
Extractions: Will you help us Open a World of Opportunity Home Devotionals What Jesus Did! May 27 Rebuked! - Mark 8:31-33 (ERV) Full Text Key Thought Peter tried to rebuke Jesus. Jesus then shows how important this matter is to him. He calls Peter Satan. Ouch! What a stern rebuke! However, the orientation of Scripture is clear: without the grace that comes from Jesus' sacrificial death, men and women are under the influence and control of Satan. The majority rule of humanity is not going to be the will of God. The will of the Lord will always be a "minority opinion" even though it is God's truth and God's standard! We must open our eyes and ask the Lord to open our hearts to know his truth, his will, and his way. Today's Prayer Get WJD by EMAIL!
