School of Ocean Sciences If time allows, you may attend lectures given in other MSc courses or in third year undergraduate courses. MSc course handouts are available from the Course Director. You will need to contact the relevant course organiser for further detail. We are moving towards greater flexibility of module sharing between courses. A list of undergraduate courses in relevant areas is available from Prof Alan Davies. Timetabling information is obtainable from Dr J.Bennell. You are expected to attend lectures given by visiting scientists within School and College. The SOS Research Seminar series is held in the MSc Seminar Room. A schedule is posted throughout the School. Visitors report on their research in a wide variety of oceanographic fields. On alternate Fridays, short, informal lunchtime seminars are given by staff and research students. These seminars are held in the MSc Seminar Room in the Postgraduate Suite. Ongoing research, new developments in the field and items of general interest to Physical and Applied Oceanography are discussed in a friendly atmosphere. You should try to attend these seminars, the details of which will be circulated.
