Extractions: now imagine if we all did just one thing Each year, more than 16,000 volunteers dedicate their time and energy to over 600 projects, restoring shorelines, enhancing habitats for wildlife and educating others about our environment. These projects encourage local employment; increase the community's capacity and help direct financial support in their areas. On average, Ontario Stewardship annually hosts over 1,000 public awareness events that is attended by more than 150,000 people. Each year we restore more than 1,500 hectares of wetlands and headwater areas, plant 1.2 million trees and restore more than 40 kilometres of shoreline. And we have only just begun. Ontario Stewardship and its community councils are always looking for new partners, ideas and volunteers. To get involved, contact your local stewardship council. Fundy Model Forest Inc.
