We continue to explore such interrelations in our own work and with other Specs, and are pleased to present a selection here. Home

What You Want To Know About PHYSICS Summarizes in simple language, without advanced mathematics, the foundations of physics. The index gives direct access to selected topics. http://kr.cs.ait.ac.th/~radok/physics/
Extractions: In 1935, this book summarized in simple language, that is, without advanced mathematics, the foundations of Physics for future students of Physics and people who were looking for information relating to their own activities. The index of all subsections gives direct access to selected topics. Although not a physicist, I have used over the years this book whenever I needed information. While it is not up to date, its presentation of the background material at the time of the research leading to the atom bomb and electronics is excellent. Some of the terminology may not be standard. I will be grateful for any comments. You can step forwards or backwards at the end of subdivisions; the first one is General Theory of Motion and Force (Mechanics) the last one Electron envelopes of nuclear atom, their properties and structure (Bohr 1913) You can also search this section using the following quick search, or use advanced search at the end of this page Quick Search: I also would like to know whether anyone would be interested in obtaining a CD, on which the over 1000 images are not thumbnails; they were introduced for faster service on the WWW. Extractions: Waiting for a wave. S itting on your board, you look behind you and spot an oncoming wave. Your eyes and brain and body have learned to judge the timing so you can catch that wave and ride it. You paddle hard, then feel the acceleration as the onrushing mass of water boosts you to its speed. Then you stand in balance on the board and savor the forces you feel as you crank off some turns. When you decide to end your ride, you step back on your board to drop the tail into the water, putting on the brakes.

Extractions: Fermilab's mission is the goal of high-energy physics: to learn what the universe is made of and how it works. Fermilab builds and operates the facilities that high-energy physicists need to do forefront research, and develops new accelerator technology for the experiments of the future. Fermilab is the largest U.S. laboratory for research in high-energy physics and is second only to CERN, the European Laboratory for Particle Physics, in the world. About 2,500 scientific users, scientists from universities and laboratories throughout the U.S. and around the world, use Fermilab for their research. The primary instruments for high-energy physics are accelerators, especially colliders, in which counter-rotating beams of particles are brought into collision. The highest-energy collider in the U.S. is the Fermilab Tevatron. Because of the nature of their experiments, high-energy physicists must do their research in collaboration with large laboratories like Fermilab. Since it is an essential part of the academic research enterprise, Fermilab is operated by Universities Research Association, a consortium of 90 research universities.
