Don't ask me about the Rosh Hashanah we went hungry for the whole two days because we were a day off on the planned store run and food prep! But more than holidays and dinner dates... I'm always promising to give myself a break from housework on Rosh Chodesh, only to find it's too late to make arrangements. I'm always planning to observe kiddush levanah , dancing and singing psalms under the light of the waxing moon, and then realizing I've missed it again. Not this year. This year I want to live by the cycle, not just look it up. So I made myself the Jewish calendar I've always looked for, where days start with night and the moon aligns with holy days, a calendar to help me live in sacred time, with all the blessings I know I'll need this year at the back.
