However, the local people are generally extremely friendly and are mostly willing and eager to help. Anyway the waitress was extremely friendly and very helpful and proudly announced that at least 80% of people who live in Maribor, speak English. This is to be seen, but I have been impressed so far! She was very helpful in advising where to live in MB. I have to say that after many visits to MB, I am beginning to like the place very much and I think that it holds great potential in particular as Spring and Summer come along! It seems cooler than the capital and vibrant as well. I am hoping to get an apartment near Lent on the banks of the Drava or maybe close to the ski slopes in uptown Maribor.
