That's a subject close to my heart and my worst fears, since I have a teen with FASD, and I've done enough research to know what a dangerous time of life this is for a child with the hormones of an adolescent and the judgment and impulse control of a five-year-old. I recently put together a packet of information for my son's teacher to help her understand my insistance on constant constant constant constant CONSTANT supervision for this boy. Here's what I included: Two pages from the great overview of FAS on the FASlink site: The chart showing all the different problems fetal alcohol can cause, and the statistics about how many teens and adults with FAE have trouble staying in school and out of jail or institutions.
