You may even have called the help line for advice. Extension has taken that concept and applied it to our other favorite pastime: eating. Shawnee County Extension graduated its first Master Food Volunteer class last spring, and recruitment is on for this year's program. The training focuses on food safety, science, preparation and preservation. Volunteers also learn how to modify recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions.
