Scientology --- Alert: Telephone Record Intrusion Attempt Scientology. From Grady Ward grady@gradyward.com Subject alert telephone record intrusion attempt Date 18 Oct 2000 115906 0500 Message-ID ddlrusckqfkk29ivn8lh74k7snhs6ctqt6 http://www.holysmoke.org/cos/gw-telephone.htm
Extractions: -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 I got a call from my long distance carrier this morning that someone was attempting to get my long distance telephone records. If you haven't passworded your account with your local and long distance carriers you should do so right now to prevent this kind of unlawful invasion of privacy. Simply call up the service numbers for your carriers and ask that either your account be passworded and or that they confirm any access or change requests by telephoning a number you designate. Do not use your mother's maiden name or any password that you use anywhere else since these usually appear as plaintext on the operator's console when needed. Passwording makes it substantially harder for PI's to randomly obtain telephone records without penetrating the carrier either physically or by fraud. Our adversary has admitted in court papers in the past their connection with investigators defrauding both my mother and my wife's bank for information, and I have had reports from my local carrier of successful penetration of my local phone records. While you are at it, you can call your bank and ask that your account have a special password as well chosen as described above.

Www.spaink.net From Grady Ward grady@northcoast.com Subject Re what is the latest regarding penet? I don't know what's up today, but Julf wrote yesterday http://www.spaink.net/cos/rnewman/grady/grady-anon
Extractions: I've just received e-mail from: kaj.malmberg@mallu.pp.fi (Kaj Malmberg) The Poilice CID in Helsinki who is being pushed by the criminal cult yet again to get a search warrant for Julf's anonymous remailer, claiming I have been violating my injunction to post cult crap. I told him that as usual the criminal cult is lying and that I gave him and Julf explicit permission to investigate any or all of my posts I have ever made through the remailer. The criminal cult is trying to use the fact of my injunction to further their own conspiracy theories. South Africa, Finland, where does it end? Shaw for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. The U.S.C.A. didn't even think this motion worthy of an actual judicial panel and had the person who handles minor motions summarily take care of it. The appeal is now ready for calendaring whether the criminal cult of scientology likes it or not. Do you wonder why the cult is so eager to have my appeal dismissed before it is heard on the merits? I don't. The page images of this document are on my website under "mywork" and "legal." -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE-
TEMPEST In A Teapot TEMPEST in a teapot. A note discussing the prevention of electromagnetic eavesdropping of personal computers. Grady Ward (grady@netcom.com) public key verification by PK server http://www.austinlinks.com/Crypto/tempest.html
Extractions: A note discussing the prevention of electromagnetic eavesdropping of personal computers. Version 1.0 22 March 93 TEMPEST is the code name for technology related to limiting unwanted electromagnetic emissions from data processing and related equipment. Its goal is to limit an opponent's capability to collect information about the internal data flow of computer equipment. Most information concerning TEMPEST specifications is classified by the United States Government and is not available for use by its citizens. The reason why TEMPEST technology is particularly important for computers and other data processing equipment is the kinds of signals components in a computer use to talk to each other ("square waves") and their clock speeds (measured in megahertz) produce a particularly rich set of unintentional signals in a wide portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. Because the spurious emissions occupy so wide a portion of that spectrum, technologies used to block one portion of the spectrum (as pulling the shades closed on a window to stop the visible light portion) are not necessarily effective in another portion. Unintentional emissions from a computer system can be captured and processed to reveal information about the target systems from simple levels of activity to even remotely copying keystrokes or capturing monitor information. It is speculated that poorly protected systems can be effectively monitored up to the order of one kilometer from the target equipment.

Extractions: In 1977 a German TV producer, Franz Tartarotti, came to the US to film a program on Scientology for German television. He and his crew came to my home outside of Chicago to interview me on my experiences as a former scientologist and a CAN staff member. Tartarotti, while in the US was followed 24 hrs a day by up to five cars of scientology agents. Two cars followed Tartarotti to my home and attempted to disrupt his visit to my home. These two cars were parked outside my home. I called the police and they questioned the three individuals who were in these two cars. The police 'inadvertently' allowed me to see two of the drivers licenses. The two names were Angel Casillas and Thierry Duchanauc. They were indentified as working for Talon Security with an address in California. I did not get the name of the third guy who was very tall with white hair. Would this be Ken Rice? These three were ordered to leave our subdivision. When tartarotti and his crew went to leave I left with them to escort them to the freeway as they were going into Chicago. Coming out of our subdivision there were three cars waiting for us and followed us. As we got on to a major thoroughfare outside of our town, the car with Casillas and Duchanauc tried to force my car off of the road.

Extractions: Many people have contributed dictionaries and affix files to allow ispell to be used with their native languages. These are listed below. Unlike the languages/Where file in the distribution, this list includes only dictionaries that are actually intended for use with ispell. Some of the affix files distributed with ispell are identical to or are based on the affix files at the ftp sites listed below. Older affix files from some of these sites will require changes to the defstringtype and altstringtype statements to specify a deformatter before they will work with ispell 3.1. This is done by adding a new quoted string, "TeX" or "nroff" , after the first quoted string in the statement. SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING "OBSCURE" LANGUAGES: Kevin Scannell of St. Louis University is collaborating with a number of people to develop word lists for minority languages using automated techniques. If you don't find a word list below, it is worth visiting his site to check for the latest status and updates.
