Extractions: Anyway, i was thinking " This is 2008. Great games came out last year, there's gotta be something good in terms of coop gaming or at least teamplay ". I was thinking Call of Duty 4, which included really great action scenes (short, completely scripted, but real intense), and Crysis (though i still have to find a PC that can render it in it's full beauty).

The competition was open to WebOS apps developed using Palm's PDK software development kit, and Angry Birds walked away with top honors in the paid apps category. A game called Glow Hockey also won $100,000 as the best free app in the contest. Palm also dished out smaller cash prizes to runners-up, including $50,000 each for 8 second-place winners (4 paid, 4 free) and $10,000 each to 30 different winners in the next tier down (15 paid, 15 free). 100 developers, also with a 50/50 paid/free split, got to choose between $1,000 in HP store credit or an HP Envy 17 laptop. While this sounds like a great opportunity for smaller developers, well known game developers dominated the contest. Gameloft (makers of the official Uno app, Oregon Trail, and popular first-person shooter N.O.V.A.) scored 25 different prizes, and powerhouses Glu Mobile, Electronic Arts and Hexage each had several prize-winning apps. Many of the winners were ports of successful Android and iPhone titles.
