Kim Mattingly, Don Mattingly’s Wife, Arrested!
Add to your Favorites! Kim Mattingly , the soon-to-be-ex wife of baseball legend Don Mattingly, was arrested! Kim was just recently arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct after she accused Don Mattingly , the past Yankee Evansville, Indiana . She apparently went a little crazy!! Don had to resign as the coach of the Los Angeles Dodgers because of his crazy wife. I would have her locked up!! Kim and Don had filed for divorce in November and were living separately. Police were called to Don Kim was a little out of it. Kim was told to leave the property and to not go back again. The police were called again as she was trying to leave as a passenger in a car. She was then arrested for public intoxication and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail.

Don Mattingly's Quote Today (9/17/10) "The opportunity to manage the Los Angeles Dodgers is truly an honor," Mattingly said. "There are few organizations in the world with the history, tradition and track record of success as the Dodgers. I'm looking forward to continuing what I came here to accomplish with Joe and that's to win a World Championship." Ned Colletti's Quote Today (9/17/10) “Over the past three years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Don closely and have gotten to know him both personally and professionally, and I’m convinced that he’s the right person to lead the Dodgers,” general manager Ned Colletti said. “His work ethic is unparalleled, his baseball knowledge is vast and his leadership skills have been established during more than three decades in professional baseball. “Donnie has also learned alongside the best in the business. Joe Torre has been a great friend, a strong leader and an incredible presence for this organization and I cannot thank him enough for his service to the Dodgers. I respect his decision to step aside and I look forward to the day where I can watch him take his rightful place in Cooperstown among baseball’s legends.”

    The Case for Donnie Baseball
We at inductdonnie.com can't think of anyone who better meets the criteria. The eye black
and mustache alone are irrevocable contributions the hitman has made to baseball. Don
Mattingly's name can be mentioned with many players who have recently been elected into
the Hall of Fame. With all due respect for these great ball players, Don Mattingly's statistics
are comparable. For many fans, Don Mattingly was the very best offensive player in the late
1980s. In 1984, Don beat out Steve Balboni to become the Yankees everyday first baseman,
and went on to win the batting title. He won the MVP in 1985, and if it weren't for the Rocket in
1986-Donnie would have two. Donnie, along with Travis Hafner, hold the record for most grand slams in a season (6), and the most consecutive games with a homerun (8). Donnie was a six-time all star at a very competitive position. Not to be overlooked is his defensive prowess, accumulating 9 Gold Glove Awards in 13 seasons.

"I like being close to the bats." - Don Mattingly Don Mattingly Quotes Quotes From Don Mattingly "His ( Dwight Gooden ) reputation preceded him before he got here." Source: Sports Illustrated (April 3, 1989) "Has he ( Rickey Henderson ) ever been here (Spring Training) the first day? You have to say Rickey's consistent. That's what you want in a ballplayer - consistency." Source: Chicago Tribune (March 9, 1989) "Honestly, at one time I though Babe Ruth was a cartoon character. I really did, I mean I wasn't born until 1961 and I grew up in Indiana." "I like being close (moved his locker) to the bats." Source: The Major League Baseball Newsletter (September 1989) "I'd like to say this was our worst game. Unfortunately, I can't." Source: Washington Post (August 28, 1989) "The players get no respect around here. They (the Yankees) give you money, that's it, not respect. We get constantly dogged and players from other teams love to see that. That's why nobody wants to play here."

Along with his excellent hitting and slick skills at first base, Mattingly played with intensity unmatched by most players in the league. In his 12 full seasons in the majors, Mattingly won one M.V.P. award, a batting title, and nine Glove Gloves.
