It was the second time in 2 to 2.5 years when Jose Offerman gave a nasty blow to the umpire. Jose Offerman is current manager of the Licey Tigers team who came to give a punch to base umpire Daniel Rayburn. When a game against Cibao Giants was continued, something happened disputed. Jose Offerman came to discuss with Daniel Rayburn but Jose Offerman did not offer any thing but a heavy punch. Daniel Rayburn could not stand on his feet and fell down on the ground after receiving a forceful punch. Stadium security officials rushed to help the umpire and they captured Jose Offerman, and took him to the police station in order to see what umpire will say to take legal action against Offerman. It was happened in the field when Giants were on their way of winning the third innings of the finale game of winter league semi-finale. Then Jason Bradley the plate umpire evicted Ronny Paulino for disagreeing balls and hits. The score of The Giants was 6-0 which was the indicator of imminent victory when the unpleasant drama occurred in the stadium. Offerman went down to the field for solving the issue. Instead of solving the issue, Offerman created more serious issue by hitting the umpire.
