Bio DRAWING POWER: DAVID HORSEY'S BLOG October 30, 2010 showBlogTools('226686'); BLOG: Stewart's rally did not unleash a new political wave In recent weeks, various people have asked me why I wasn't flying off to Washington, D.C., to cover Jon Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity . They seemed slightly incredulous when I responded that the event would be well covered by plenty of other journalists and, besides, no one had offered to pay my way. Still, I did wonder if they were right to think I needed to be there. Could it be I was going to be missing something big and game-changing in American politics? Now, having watched the rally on TV inside my cozy house on a rainy day, I think I made the right call. Oh, it was a very entertaining show and the crowd size was truly impressive. And, sure, it would have been fun to be on the scene.
