Michener, but I have never regretted being introduced to his works. If there were only one author in this world that I could recommend, it would be Mr. Michener. His mastery of the subject being written about is phenomenal. He puts many years of research into his subject in order to present an organized, well-written novel. The subjects are so compelling, as in "The Source" (concerning one of the first settlements by the Jewish in the Holy Land), that you believe you are right with them every agonizing step of the way. His characters are well-thought out and graphically portrayed. It is as though we have stepped right into his scene and are experiencing everything first-hand. | |
