Put together well. Neat Yeah, its fun to study this way, and you will not even realize how much italian you have learned until you go back to read the book again or go read another book in italian and you will be like "Holy cow I can understand some of this"...I am reading this book for a second time now...my feelings on the actual stories themselves is really kinda hit or miss...some of them I thought were really cool, like Una Voce, it is a story about a blind man who is engaged to this woman. A doctor thinks he can cure the man's blindness. What happens? You have to read to find out but it was very interesting (Yeah I know it sounds like that movie with Val Kilmer but trust me, it's different). But honestly, for a lot of the other stories I was like please let this end. Maybe something was lost in the translation, and I'm not fluent in Italian, but Pirandello reminds me of a guy who takes 2 hours to set up a joke and then has no punchline. He writes like at the end there is going to be

He was born in a village with the curious name of Chaos (Xaos), a poor suburb of Girgenti (Agrigento, a poor town of southern Sicily), from a middle-class family. He is known mainly for his writing of theatre, but his short stories and novels took up most of his career. He in fact also wrote some delicious novels in which he described his thoughts, often following Sicilian legends, or Italian little facts. Pirandello composed over 350 short stories, generally on realistic themes of Italian and Sicilian life. His poetry is rather less considered. As in his works, nothing seems to have happened by casualty in his life. His family's sulphur mine was flooded and ruined while he was young, leading family to difficult conditions. His wife Antonietta soon revealed suffering heavy mental diseases, and this gave Pirandello a deep acknowledgement of mental mechanisms, which he often referred to in his works (notably in Enrico IV (Henry IV)). Luigi Pirandello Luigi Pirandello was born in 1867 in Girgenti (now Agrigento) on the island of Sicily. Luigi's father was a fairly prosperous sulphur dealer and intended that his son should follow in his footsteps, but the boy demonstrated a studious bent early on, and as a result, he was provided with a literary schooling. He entered the University of Rome in 1887, but later transferred to Bonn University where he completed his doctoral thesis, a study of his native Sicilian dialect. Luigi Pirandello A Biographical Sketch There seems to be little doubt that one of the most influential modern authors/playwrights of the early twentieth century was Luigi Pirandello. Today, his reputation is still of worldwide renown, even as we face entrance into the twenty-first century. His works are centerpieces of study and production. He became the first Italian author/playwright to be awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. Luigi Pirandello was a playwright, novelist, short story writer, poet and one of the leading dramatists of the twentieth century. He was born in Girgenti [now Agrigento], Sicily, located on the south-central coast of the island on June 28, 1867. His father, owner of a rich sulfur mine, played an important role in the industrial and commercial life of Girgenti and Porto Empedocle. Being born into an economically well-to-do family promised him a comfortable childhood and adolescence, which allowed him privileges not enjoyed by many others. After early private schooling at home, Pirandello attended secondary schools in Girgenti, and later, in Palermo. This was followed by studies at the University of Rome and the University of Bonn in Germany, where he was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy degree. During this period of study, he wrote and published two volumes of poetry. Although his father wished him to follow a business career, he found no desire, pleasure or success in that pursuit. He settled in Rome as a professional writer in 1893.
