Im Gespräch mit Terry Pratchett
von Berit Neumann Science Fiction Alien Contact
Interview

Search BookLore: Search Amazon: Home Reviews Authors Reviewers ... Help Terry Pratchett Terry Pratchett was born in 1948 and is still not dead. He started work as a journalist one day in 1968 and saw his first corpse three hours later, work experience meaning something in those days. After doing just about every job it's possible to do in provincial journalism, except of course covering Saturday afternoon football, he joined the Central Electricity Generating Board and became press officer for four nuclear power stations. He'd write a book about his experiences if he thought anyone would believe it. Links :

Photo by Robin Mathews Terry Pratchett sold his first story when he was thirteen, which earned him enough money to buy a second-hand typewriter. His first novel, a humorous fantasy entitled The Carpet People, appeared in 1971 from the publisher Colin Smythe. Terry worked for many years as a journalist and press officer, writing in his spare time and publishing a number of novels, including his first Discworld novel, The Color of Magic, in 1983. In 1987 he turned to writing full time, and has not looked back since. To date there are a total of 36 books in the Discworld series, of which four (so far) are written for children. The first of these, The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents, won the Carnegie Medal. A non-Discworld book, Good Omens, his 1990 collaboration with Neil Gaiman, has been a longtime bestseller, and was reissued in hardcover by William Morrow in early 2006 (it is also available as a mass market paperback (Harper Torch, 2006) and trade paperback (Harper Paperbacks, 2006). Terry's latest book, Making Money , was published in September 2007 and was an instant New York Times and London Times bestseller. In 2008, Harper Children's will publish Terry's new standalone non-Discworld YA novel

Focus on the character Crowley from the novel Good Omens. Also contains general information about the novel and the planned movie.
http://www.boukenshin.net/crowley/
Welcome!
Anthony J. Crowley is introduced to readers on page xiii of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's novel Good Omens as a demon, last in a list of Fallen Angels, more precisely described as "An Angel who did not so much Fall as Saunter Vaguely Downwards." He once did a stint in the body of a serpent. You might remember him from such paradise locales as the Garden of Eden. He went down in history after a little incident involving some gullible humans and a forbidden apple. This page is a small little shrine to one of the most fascinating, complex, lovable, and comical characters in a novel generally populated with many fascinating, complex, lovable, and comical characters. If you're a fan of Good Omens , a fan of Pratchett or Gaiman, or maybe just a bored person looking for some good reading, I bid you enter and welcome. Please come in and learn a bit more about the demon, temptor, mischief-maker, and hellraiser who calls himself Crowley. LATEST UPDATE:
