After nine years of standardized tests and old textbooks in the public school system, he decided on a whim to apply to Saint Mary's College High School in Berkeley, where he was one of a handful of non-Christian's admitted. He was a staff writer for the school's literary magazine "The Paradox" and the sports editor for the school newspaper, The Peraltan. In 2006 he graduated summa cum laude and was given The Virginia Woolf Award for Excellence in Writing by the school. Earlier that year he was accepted into the University of Victoria's Creative Writing program. Last Updated ( Thursday, 04 November 2010 02:15 )
