Scratch IV Aeronautical Research Funding
  • Do you know about funding available from Brussels that is available to assist small and large companies alike? If you did do you know how to access it?
Aerospace Research Funding Assistance for SME's
It is clearly recognised that small companies have specialist skills that would be very useful to co-operative research programmes but identifying the right company who is willing to participate is difficult. For the small companies it is difficult to find partners to form the collaborative project that will be acceptable for funding. There is also the paperwork to fill in which is time consuming. Well help is at hand. These concerns have been recognised by Brussels and that has lead to the project team known as SCRATCH IV. This is a team of companies in relevant nine EU states that are working on behalf of Brussels to solve these issues. In the UK Europus Ltd is being funded to do the partners search work and assist in proposal writing. We will help find the right partners for you. You can visit the SCRATCH website HERE

The Company Innovative Products Innovative Research Aerospace Research Corporation (ARC) is a manufacturer of renewable energy producing systems using biomass. Located in Roanoke, VA, the company consists of the most talented energy systems engineers. With the knowledge that gas turbines are more efficient than steam turbines, the ARC engineers succeeded in using biomass (derived from wood, crop residues, processed solid wastes, etc) in the same manner as a liquid or gaseous fuel to be converted to energy by the gas turbine. ARC became the first company to advance the concept that wood can fuel large power plants more efficiently than coal. ARC has over 20 years of experience with solid combustion energy turbines using renewable fuel sources and has a patented system. The ARC system and efficient versus traditional coal and steam powered systems. This is because with coal, slagging occurs and ash removal can be a problem and with an ash content about one-tenth that of coal, wood presents less problems than coal as an alternate fuel. In a project funded by the US Department of Energy (USDOE), the ARC initiated a program to develop biomass as an alternative fuel for gas turbines. Government reports

On July 24, 2009 Teledyne Continental Motors received FAA Type Certification for the TSIOF-550-J FADEC engine that is used in our M-6 FADEC Malibu and Mirage STC project. This clears the way for our airframe Supplemental Type Certification project to be completed. We have nearly all of the production parts completed and installed on both our Malibu and Mirage test aircraft, including a much improved (rev.3) engine mount that is stronger and gives smoother powerplant vibration characteristics and a new engine instrumentation package for the transicoil equipped Mirage aircraft.
