About The Book Topics About The Author ... Privacy Statement Grief. Frustration. Confusion. Isolation.
And the occasional humorous moment.
The Seasons of Good-bye: An Alzheimer's Caregiver Journal was compiled and written by Robyn Feld, a woman who experienced these feelings herself as she walked the AD caregiver journey for six years with her mother.
The book contains over 600 anecdotes under 47 topics from caregivers across America who share how they handled the various stages and challenges of dealing with their loved one. Individuals and educators are using the book as a resource to help caregivers and other work more effectively with AD patients.
Since dealing with feelings is a huge part of the AD caregiver's challenge, each topic has space for journaling or just keeping notes for future reference
The book concludes with a reference section and a built-in address book that allows the caregiver to update the information as the AD patient's needs change. For instance, there are pages for the apartment, the assisted living facility and the nursing home so as the AD patient's housing needs change, the appropriate numbers and contact information can be kept in one place.
A dollar from the sale of each book is donated to support Alzheimer's research and outreach services Thought for the week:
"Whether you do little or much, let it be out of good intentions."
