I would like to share with my friends and family a significant milestone. Madison, my 16 year old daughter, has had a passion for animals from the time she could walk and talk. I remember losing the remote control to 24X7 Animal Planet by the time she was five years old. When she was nine, we had a Maddy and Daddy weekend where she informed me that she was going to make a home for all animals that needed help. Three years ago she acquired the website
MaddysDream.org and started working towards being a 501(c)3 organization that will grow into a non-kill animal rescue shelter for all forms of animals. Today she crossed the final hurdle towards being a 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable organization. As a result, she is now able to accept donations that will help her achieve her dream.
Please consider going to MaddysDream.org

    The Anomaly
November 5, 2010 It all started out side the Vancouver Aquarium. To be honest I did not know what to expect so I had no expectations at all. I began to have an idea waiting out side the front doors with other fellow CG fans. We all waddled into this atmosphere of "under water" inspiration. I stopped at the food first, everyone was hungry. Yummy snacks and funny enough; sushi in... Read More Posted By Comments

Animal training Seminar content Price / Accommodation Reservation ... Contact Seminar through Positive Reinforcement further challenging and advanced issues with Ken Ramirez 07. - 09. DECEMBER 2007 at Munich / Germany 3 days Seminar learning, watching, asking Ken Ramirez. A valuable chance to enhance your knowledge about operant conditioning, training situations and problem solving with positive reinforcement. Written by an attendee : "Ken Ramirez is a terrific teacher. His allover knowledge about animal training and behavior is significant. When I attended a seminar with him I felt inspired by his teaching abilities, in fact he used positive reinforcement with us attendees as well. The seminar was packed with interesting themes and profound knowledge. Although there was a lot of stuff to absorb, it was at no point boring. Ken got never tired to answer questions, even in breaks he answerded willingly all questions asked. His seminars are mind expanding, exciting and even funny. His amount of stories and experience about his life and training occurrences with animals, mixed with video sequenzes, which illustrate the themes of his seminar very well, makes attendence just plain fun." The seminar will be held theoretical. There are no life sessions with dogs planned.

Learning Theory and Learning Theory Classical Conditioning Operant Conditioning Four possible consequences of a behavior ... Who's Using Clicker Training Learning Theory and Learning Theory "Learning Theory" is a discipline of psychology that attempts to explain how an organism learns. It consists of many different theories of learning, including instincts, social facilitation, observation, formal teaching, memory, mimicry, and classical and operant conditioning. It is these last two that are of most interest to animal trainers. Why should animal trainers be bothered with learning the theory behind how their animals learn? Many excellent trainers have no formal schooling or organized understanding of how their training is effective or how their charges work. But training is both an art and a science. More and more trainers - pet owners, show competitors, horseback riders, show-business trainers, zookeepers, aquarium trainers and more - are finding that an understanding of learning theory helps them understand their animals' behaviors better, and plan their training accordingly. So trainers are learning the theory of learning theory!
