WHY Good, honest Argentinean cooking and wines at modest prices. WHAT This offshoot of the successful Pasadena original has the same affordable Argentinean wines, an equally nice staff, and the same menu of well-prepared classics: empanadas, matambre (rolled meat stuffed with vegetables and herbs), garlic fries, handmade pastas and such hearty entrées as grilled short ribs (great flavor but too chewy), skirt steak chimichurri (delicious) and grilled salmon. Description: Grilling authority, Steven Raichlen, host of the popular cooking series Barbecue University and author of the best-selling Barbecue Bible cookbook series, partnered with The Companion Group to create a fabulous line of innovative, versatile barbecue products. This dual purpose Tuscan Grill (14-inch by 14-inch) has 196 square inches of cooking surface. Lay it on your conventional chrome-plated or enamel grate to produce tack-sharp, well defined grill marks. Screw on the legs and use it for grilling over a campfire or in your fireplace. Either way, the heavy, heat-conducting cast iron gives you killer grill marks. This one is similar to parrillas used out in the campo or countryside.
