The tang of a crisp fall day added to the excitement as AEA's 2010 Professional Development Conference got underway Thursday morning, Nov. 4. Teachers from across the state came into downtown Little Rock to devote two days to learning more about how to better serve the children they teach. "There were many high-quality professional development offerings at the conference, which is what teachers have come to expect from us, since AEA has been about professional development for 142 years," said President Donna Morey. Dennis Van Roekel, president of the National Education Association (NEA), was the keynote speaker during AEA's Representative Assembly on Saturday, Nov. 6 at the Little Rock Hilton Metro. 30 Years of Service and Counting!!!
About Us Since 1978, Fayetteville Christian School (FCS) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, has used the traditional classroom format to teach K3 through 12th grades.
We use the A Beka Curriculum, supplemented with textbooks from Bob Jones University Press and other sources. Our curriculum, a combination of sound academic standards and Biblical truth, is designed for the average student. Our Jr-Sr High program is accredited by the Arkansas Nonpublic School Accrediting Association.
A unique feature of FCS is our volunteer faculty and staff. Since the school began, it has operated on a volunteer basis. Our qualified faculty-staff volunteer their time feeling led by the Lord to provide a Christian education. This volunteerism makes FCS affordable to more people.
FCS is a ministry of the Mission Blvd. Baptist Church. Although we are privileged to minister to people of many faiths and we respect the right of others to hold different beliefs, we do teach the Bible from the historic Baptist perspective.
FCS desires to minister to as many students as possible. We accept any student who is willing and able to receive a Christian education and who is willing to conform to the academic and behavior standards of the school both at school and elsewhere. FCS admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at school. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of our educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic or other school-administered programs.
