The MOST COMMON Aurora E-mail Questions we get everyday: "Where and/or when can I see the aurora?" The Aurora is like the weather, the Aurora is a result of space weather. We have been at a minimum of solar and aurora activity since 2007. Our favorite site to see when and where the Aurora may best be seen and the predicted intensity is the NOAA POES polar map:

They typically occur in the ionosphere . They are also referred to as polar auroras . This is a misnomer however, because they are commonly visible between 65 to 72 degrees north and south latitudes, which place them in a ring just within the Arctic and Antarctic circles citation needed . Aurorae do occur deeper inside the polar regions, but these are infrequent and often invisible to the naked eye. In northern latitudes , the effect is known as the aurora borealis , named after the Roman goddess of dawn

Test Drive: 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora By Greg Wilson Completely redesigned for the 2001 model year, the Oldsmobile Aurora is shorter in overall length but roomier inside. It now offers a standard 3.5 litre V6 engine as well as an optional 4.0 litre V8 engine. New for 2001 are side airbags and an automatic anti-skid system. Aurora V6 models start at $39,035 and V8 Auroras go for $45,575, a little less than the previous Aurora which was discontinued in 1999.
Smaller, lighter Aurora now offers both V6 and V8 engines
Trimmer but roomier
The trunk is smaller by 1.5 cu. ft., however the trunklid opening is wider, and the liftover is lower to make loading and unloading larger items, such as golf clubs, easier.
3.5 litre V6 now standard
Both engines have undergone improvements in efficiency to improve fuel consumption, reduced noise, and lower exhaust emissions. On the V8, this includes a new low-friction valvetrain, new pistons, and a reaction heated catalyst system, as well as a greater use of aluminum, magnesium and plastic. However, neither engine offers variable valve timing, a feature available in some of its competitors. Attractive interior
A leather-covered floor shift lever falls easily to hand, and looks very attractive with its oval, chrome-ringed border set against burl walnut.

INTRODUCTION I have received many questions concerning the best place and time of year to view the Northern Lights. Best viewed: between Fairbanks and Barrow Alaska. Mayo and Faro , Yukon north of Whitehorse is also ideally situated for great viewing. However, because of logistics, it is a lot easier visiting (and viewing) from Fairbanks than sites further north and east Seasonal Cloudiness: should be taken into consideration which decreases from a maximum in mid-August to a minimum in winter. However, with clearer skies comes extremely cold temperatures The aurora is most frequent The 11-year sunspot cycle (which will be at maximum in 2000-2001) determines the magnitude of each display. By now, occurrences of the northern (southern) lights will be the most frequent and intense. all night twilight will interfere with viewing from late April to mid August.

    edit Formation (1984–1987)
In 1984, St. Luke's Medical Center, located on Milwaukee's south side, and Good Samaritan Medical Center, located on Milwaukee's near north side, formed an affiliation called St. Luke's Samaritan Health Care. This partnership was the first in the Milwaukee area of two formerly independent hospitals. Three years later, when Mount Sinai Medical Center merged with Good Samaritan Medical Center in 1987, the partnership changed its name to Aurora Health Care. The goal of the partnership of the three hospitals was to reduce costs, maintain a high level of care, and compete with the other hospitals in the Milwaukee metropolitan area.
