Forum Mother In Law Stress Relievers There is no doubt that when it comes to dealing with your Mother In Law you are going to need to take some time out for yourself to de-stress.  Dealing with Mother In Law stress is a lot like dealing with other stresses in your life, it needs to be properly managed appropriately.  You need to take your time to find healthy techniques that will help you cope, some techniques you may even need to practice before they start working for you!  The key is that you have to actually do it.  Below I have listed some of my favorite ways that I vent from my Mother In Law stress.  Feel free to try some of them out, and then add your own tried and tested techniques Exercise I absolutely find it to be the most effective way to deal with stress.  Usually I choose running, it is not that I particularly LOVE running, in fact most days I do not like it at all and wonder why I started it as a hobby, but what I do find is this : When I run my body becomes completely absorbed with the run, I physically can not think about anything else when I run but running if I am to keep on going.  My mind goes to a "No Think Zone", what a relief!  It is also a well known fact that exercise releases "feel good" hormones, it will make you feel great.   Now you may choose not to run, there are so many great activites, why not choose one that is fun!  I am a big fan of swimming, and when I get to play I love badminton.  Team sports with friends are great because they force you to get out of the house and you will probably get a few laughs in the meantime!
