The Fylde Bird Club welcomes all birdwatchers whatever their specific interest. Whether you are a beginner, an expert, a casual local birder or a hard-bitten twitcher, a conservation worker or just want to meet other birders for a chat; we have something for you. The Club is involved in local conservation issues and works closely with local councils to attempt to protect the important habitats of the Fylde. Club members are involved in local and national counts and surveys . The Fylde Bird Report is published annually which summarise each year's bird records. Our monthly meetings are social events, which regularly include slide shows and talks by both our own members and outside speakers. Information on recent bird sightings in the Fylde and where to watch birds in the Fylde is freely available. Membership fees are £14 per year (seniors £10, students £8, juniors £5, family membership £22). which includes a copy of the annual bird report and quarterly newsletters. If you would like to know more about the Fylde Bird Club, contact the secretary or attend one of our meetings and before deciding on joining, new members are always welcome.

This Tour to Rwanda has been organised by Birding Africa and you can find further information on our Rwanda pages Latest ABC Bulletin - September 2010 The new issue of the ABC Bulletin, 17.2 is available and will be posted to members soon. It has 128 pages, 15 feature articles, news and comment and an increased use of colour. The Witwatersrand Bird Club is the oldest club in the BirdLife South Africa (BLSA) family and is based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The club is also represented by satellite branches in the East Rand, the West Rand and in Henley-on-Klip. We currently enjoy a membership base in excess of 800 members. The objectives of the club include the promotion of, inter alia, the enjoyment, understanding, study and conservation of indigenous wild birds in South Africa. To this end the club has an active programme of events for the social birder, holds regular bird identification and photographic courses, conducts research and is involved in a number of recognised conservation projects. General Program During the winter months (September - April) the Edmonton Nature Club meets on the third Friday of the month (occasionally Thursdays) at the Royal Alberta Museum at 7:30 p.m. Guest speakers provide presentations on a variety of topics of interest to the membership. For scheduled speakers in 2010/11 season, see the Monthly Program found under Events/Notices. Check the current Nature Network (August 2010) for information on meeting topics, our frequent weekend field trips and winter study group sessions. Nature articles of local interest are published three times a year in the Club's news magazine, entitled Parkland News (formerly Edmonton Nature News). Back copies of this news magazine can be found, in the future, under the Events/Notices tag above. The ENC cooperates closely with the to conserve natural areas in and around Edmonton.
