There are thousands of accountants in Ottawa, but there's only one interested in adding passion to your profits!
Hi, I'm Michael Di Lauro and I'd like to ask you three questions:
  • Is your business profitable? Is your business fun? Is your business meaningful?
  • Most accountants will tell you that the first question is the only one that's important. I, on the other hand, see things differently. My goal is to help you create a business that is fun, that is meaningful and that is profitable. My belief is that every business owner should enjoy their business.
If you think that business is only about the numbers, well, as I mentioned above, there are thousands of accountants that share your view. If, however, you want to get behind and beyond the numbers, then give me a call, and let me help you add passion to your profits!
If you're thinking, " Where do we start, and how much will it cost?"
Here are three suggestions, starting at free

Open as PDF Course Overview The ICB Certificate in Small Business Financial Management is specifically designed for those learners who are already, or those who wish to become, owner-managers or those who are responsible for the keeping of the financial records, of a small business. In South Africa the labour force is increasingly called upon to be self-employed or to seek employment in small businesses in contrast to the past where the majority of workers were employed by large companies, the State and parastatals. This situation has lead to a large increase in the number of small companies with a small labour force. Business strategic planning and company management need to be very carefully done in the small business and margins of error in terms of financial planning and management need to be kept to a minimum if small companies are to survive. Financial management complements business financial and strategic planning, general management and human resource management. Unfortunately many small businesses do not survive because of poor financial management and strategic planning. The future well-being of the South African population depends upon the creation and survival of small businesses in the country. The National Certificate in Small Business Financial Management: Level 4 is aimed at providing the entrepreneur and/or a staff member with the necessary knowledge and skills to manage the financial affairs of a small business, thereby assisting it to remain solvent, profitable and compliant with the various legislation relating to taxes, levies, etc.

Home Page Business Financial Management COURSE INTRODUCTION:- The Business Financial Management course teaches students about the fundamentals of business financial management, and helps them to develop core competencies to understand and analyze financial information presented in typical business scenarios. The course focuses on the principles of accounting and reporting of financial data to various outside parties, such as bankers and potential equity investors. Students learn what information is provided in financial statements, to use elements of financial statements in making constructive short-term and long-term business decisions, and how such decisions affect the bottom line. Students are given ample opportunity to practice, apply, and develop their financial management skills through the completion of hands-on tasks. The focus of these tasks is to pinpoint and dissect items in the financial statement that identify waste or poor utilization of resources, implement corrective actions, and quantify the effect of such actions on financial performance. A practice exercise and review questions are included at the end of each lesson to measure progress and reinforce the skills learned. There is also a lab exercise at the end of the course to provide further practice and review, to reinforce the topics learned throughout the course, and to help prepare students for the final exam.

Many individuals trained in finance have professional jobs at non-financial companies (manufacturers, airlines, retailers), or in government and not-for-profit agencies. These types of organizations have always employed people in management activities associated with financial budgeting, financial forecasting, financial control, raising funds, and maintaining relationships with banks. All these activities have become especially important for corporations and other organizations as new information technology has made it possible for financial market participants to constantly monitor businesses' financial performance. Stockholders and potential stockholders continually watch how companies use the non-financial products they make and sell to create financial returns for investors. As a result, non-financial companies rely heavily upon financial managers. Business Financial Management can be divided, for simplicity, into three main areas: cash management, capital budgeting, and funding management.
