zSB(3,3) After setting up the campsite it's time to go do what you came here to do, "go play!" Whatever your preoccupation is, enjoy! To many campers, myself included, seeing the campsite set up and smelling the country air is a refreshing change from all of the confines of the city. I like to take this time to just sit down, get something cold to drink and relax a spell. It's usually around this time too that the thought goes through my mind, "what did I forget to bring?" It never fails, there's always something useful that gets left behind, like a bottle opener, or the clothes line, or something. "Now where did I put that camping checklist?"
    • Keep a Checklist
Itemize your gear and all the essentials that you use while camping. Depending on when and where you like to camp and what you like to do, the list will be ever changing. But most importantly, use it.

In addition to our recreational activities for children , the Jersey Shore Council offers many opportunities for families to participate in New Jersey shore events and outdoor family activities . Keeping our scouts’ families closely connected to our various functions helps us to develop our scouts into participating citizens of good character. While it is primarily the responsibility of parents to teach their children, we see ourselves as a unique source in presenting families with new opportunities and building and strengthening relationships among its members. Recognizing this responsibility, the Boy Scouts of America has instituted several family-oriented activities that go beyond family camping excursions. Our "Family Talk" program, for example, is designed to provide family members with an opportunity to learn and practice relationship skills that will strengthen each individual as well as the family. Another unique initiative is a program where families must complete five requirements (two are mandatory; three are elective) within a 12-month period to earn the “BSA Family Award.” Contact the Jersey Shore Council today to learn more about the many BSA family-oriented initiatives that help families grow together, and most importantly, have some good old

New Mexico Camping Recreational activities are required to be at a trimmed edge of mental and physical well being. Once in a while we need to come out of our shelves of the monotonous routine job and enjoy some quality time with our friends and family in the lap of Mother Nature. Now when we talk about recreation, camping has come out to be the most effective and common form of a recreational activity. Among many camping sites, New Mexico is one of the most trusted and sorted destination. It is considered to be one of the best skiing and snowboarding areas. It is set in the southern part of Rocky Mountains and the snow cover is light, fluffy and found in abundance which is apt for powder skiing. New Mexico has approximately ten skiing areas which attract the hikers and non hikers alike. So if you are looking out for some change and outdoor camping, then just pack our bags and get going to New Mexico. It provides you options galore and you may choose from overnight outdoor stay under the starlit sky or you may opt for a tent experience. Setting up the tent yourself is an added experience too. Another good option for camping is Bandelier National Monument is north central New Mexico. This is an open and never ending terrain. The best time to camp here would be the winters. You could soak in under the sky and warm yourself in the morning sun. So after spending a lethargic morning and afternoon, you may just go adventurous too. Gear yourself in hiking attire and trail the Tyuonyi and Frey hiking places.
