Constitution Square State Historic Site is located in Danville, which is 35 miles southwest of Lexington and 80 miles southeast of Louisville. The Governor's Circle is a bronze statue that depicts the state seal in a circle of plaques dedicated to each Kentucky governor. Replicas of the original log courthouse that was completed in 1785, a meetinghouse, and the jail that was constructed out of 9-inch thick logs stand on the site. There are also several brick houses, a tavern, and a schoolhouse. A museum and art gallery can also be found at this 3-acre site that is open year-round.
