Christopher Schafer, B.A. (Hon), M.A., LL.B.
Executive Director Prior to joining the Canadian Constitution Foundation as Executive Director, Chris Schafer was an associate at Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP in Ottawa, where his practice areas included constitutional and regulatory law. Chris holds an Honours B.A. in Political Science (Wilfrid Laurier), a Masters in Political Science (University of Western Ontario) and an LL.B. (Osgoode Hall Law School). A published author, Chris has written several studies and numerous articles on public policy and legal issues for think tanks, journals, and newspapers.
Karen Selick, LL.B.
Litigation Director Karen Selick earned her LL.B. from the University of Toronto. Since her call to the Bar in 1978, she has practiced in the areas of tax planning, civil litigation, wills and estates, and matrimonial law. Karen is a prolific writer, whose legal and public policy commentary has been published in the Globe and Mail, National Post, Lawyers Weekly, Canadian Lawyer, Western Standard, and other publications.
