Christian Writing and Inspiration
Welcome
The smallest things can change the course of a life. As small as a smile. As brief as a handshake. A glance that says "I know you" from someone you have just only met...because we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. This is the power of connecting-across the barriers that separate us-one friend, one person at a time. Small but powerful, these are the gifts you take along in you christian journey, the gifts of love...our greatest commandment. You never know when you will come across an angel unaware, you never know when you will come across Christ unaware. Our beacon of light should shine for all to see, for it is that that can prompt an extaordinary change in the lives of others who may need that boost of encouragement and inspiration to surrender to Christ. When we walk out of the our church buildings, we are entering a mission field., within our own communities. "Go therefore, and teach others, as Christ has taught us. Making disciples of all nations, everywhere." My name is Tim, I am a grateful believer in Jesus Christ. Today, it is my prayer that in every community, people may try to be imitators of Christ, sharing in pains or sorrows to help one another in brotherly and sisterly love. My talent and gift is writing, and I write on many topics including religion. The purpose of this website is to bring my christian writing to the public spotlight as a source of inspiration and encouragement. If this site can touch at least one person and help them to turn their life to Christ, the goal of this website has succeeded. This website is designed to bring a personal talent of writing in religious topic to all faith communities.

31. Jewish Roots Of Eastern Christian Mysticism
Research seminar investigates the influence of Jewish pseudepigrapha, Markabah and Hekhaloth writings and Enochic tradition on the eastern Christian texts.
http://www.marquette.edu/maqom
Welcome to the interdisciplinary seminar
Jewish Roots of Eastern Christian Mysticism
The interdisciplinary seminar on the Jewish Roots of Eastern Christian Mysticism is designed as the internet version of an ongoing research seminar of graduate students at the department of theology of Marquette University (Milwaukee, USA). The seminar is directed by Alexander Golitzin , a professor of eastern Christian theology (Marquette University) and Andrei Orlov , an associate professor of Christian Origins (Marquette University). The seminar started in March 2002 as an attempt to investigate Jewish mystical traditions in the eastern Christian theological and liturgical texts. It was thought that the seminar would help initiate and inspire the discussion about the Jewish influences on eastern Christian mysticism among a broader audience. The internet version of the seminar was constituted on April 17, 2002. It is a regular text seminar consisting of scholars and graduate students of ancient languages, systematic theology, philosophy, patristics, biblical exegesis, and Judaism. Currently the seminar is not confined solely to the students of Marquette University but also includes participants from various scholarly communities.
