  • Fun Things to Do on a Study Abroad in Costa Rica
Adjust font-size: Published November 18, 2008 by: Carrie Belt View Profile Follow Add to Favorites ... Studying Abroad I spent a semester in college studying abroad in Costa Rica. You have no idea how much fun you can pack into one semester until you head south on a study abroad program to Costa Rica.
I took off during the summer for a trimester program through CEA. CEA connected me with a host family, which I lived with for my entire semester. The host family spoke some English, but we mostly communicated in Spanish, which was fine with me since I was there to learn the language anyway.
The thing that I like so much about CEA as compared to other programs that I heard about is that CEA is totally big on using you study abroad time in Costa Rica to investigate all that the country has to offer. Yes, we studied Spanish and actually attended classes. But with this study abroad program, the emphasis was on getting to know Costa Rica.
Every weekend, there was something for me and my 20 or so closest friends to do. The study abroad program arranged for us to go rafting, to visit the Poas Volcano, do a zip line across the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, hiking through the Manuel Antonia National Park, sunbathe at Puerto Viejo, snorkel off of Ilsa Tortuga and bathe in the hot springs. I cannot state enough how great this study abroad program in Costa Rica is. Costa Rica strikes me at one of the most beautiful and plentiful countries in the world - and I was so lucky to have been able to study abroad there while still a student in college.

    Seroquel dosing limits?
Posted by on March 7, 2010 at 10:42am DS17 is having some breakthrough behaviors. This is typically the time of year he has more problems and needs some meds adjustments. We see pdoc on Tuesday and would like to have some feedback before that. The more prepared I am...the less time spent with pdoc....means it costs us less!!! (last year we had $21,650 in medical expenses). So...Seroquel seems to be the med that we can increase in 25mg increments and see good improvement. Pdoc has said in the past that he is at max dosage at 800 mg. DS17 weighs 175 lbs and is about 5"8" tall. Do we have room to increase the Seroquel? Monica DH57, married 30 years
