Free Report on PLACE Exam Preparation PLACE Test The Colorado Department of Education requires the Program for Licensing Assessments for Colorado Educators (PLACE) examination as part of the teacher licensing process. These criterion-referenced, objective-based assessments have been created in order to gauge candidates' knowledge and abilities on the topics that are essential for teachers in Colorado public schools. The PlACE test assessments are founded on licensing standards, curriculum and teacher training programs. The majority of the assessments are in multiple-choice format, but there are exceptions. The assessment for Special Education Specialist: Visually Impaired has a section on Braille, and the assessment for languages other than English include writing and speaking. Not every question on a PLACE test assessment is included in the final score. Some extra questions are included for pre-trial purposes to be used on future examinations.
