Whenever we swim or sail in the ocean, the beautiful blue waters of the sea surround us on all sides. Just as while swimming we are surrounded by the ocean, every second of our lives we are also surrounded by the ocean of divine love. The ocean of God’s love surrounds us. It is not only around us, but within. If we could only have the eyes to see, we would find we are perpetually swimming in the ocean of God’s love.

    Emmaus began its teaching program in 1959, with the vision to prepare young people for overseas missionary service and for ministry within Christian Brethren assemblies. Today, we continue to offer a variety of courses to educate Christians to be effective in the local church, community and the mission field; to reach all with the gospel and encourage one another to continue in their faith. Studying at Emmaus can take many forms this will depend upon individual students’ needs and prior experience. Emmaus offers Higher Education Courses, Vocational Courses and Non-Accredited Courses.
    For those wishing to undertake Higher Education, these studies are under the auspices of The Sydney College of Divinity. Vocational Courses are offered through NSW Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB). Non-accredited courses include Emmaus’ correspondence subjects as well as short courses relevant the local church.
