The major goal of the Alma Police Department in 2010 is to broaden our relationships with the community through the expansion of community policing and the use of Crime Prevention Programs
The Crime Prevention Philosophy adopted by the Alma Police Department facilitates the promotion of community-based policing as it provides varying services to the Alma community. In addition, Crime Prevention supports the functions of the police department through research and preventative programs to reduce the incidence of crime in the City of Alma.
