Expert: Jeffrey-Peter Hauck Question Hello Mr. Hauck, thank for your time! I am a Psychology student in University (I will be entering my second year come September) and I have had some difficulty finding information on what is needed to take criminal or forensic psychology. What are the prerequisites generally? As in, biology, chemistry, etc.? Is this a difficult path to pursue being in a Bachelor of Arts degree set-up in psychology? Specifically, what schooling is involved? I hope you can take the time to answer my question! Thanks again.

Criminal Forensic Psychology: Essential Case Readings on Competency and Insanity Dusky v. United States : Dusky is the foundational case establishing the standard for competency to stand trial. It is cited in virtually every study and publication discussing competency and is the basis for the most common and frequent type of forensic assessment conducted by psychologists. In addition to its description of the standard, this case is of interest for its sparse language, and it is notable for the fact that it provides no foundation, explanation or reasoning for the ruling. Pate v. Robinson
