The Mug Bucket

useful item for yourself or a gift for your friends. Help save our landfills!
Featured in 0905 Sew News
I made the first organizer, the Tote-all-Bucket to carry my soft-dollmaking supplies. The club members asked me
to teach a class so they could make their own. We had tons of fun, and I have taught classes since that time.
The 5 Quart Jitter Bucket organizer pattern, featured in the September 2005 Sew News , was designed for smaller
projects, art supplies, jewelry tool and personal care items such as cosmetics or medications. It's also a great
car caddy for water bottles, sunglasses and tissues.
The Mug Bucket has been received extremely well as a great, quick, and welcome gift. The Sassy Kat Bucket for
kitty litter scoop buckets was designed at the request of many. The Traveler is an organizer that can be worn under your coat and close to your body when traveling or used to keep all your sewing or baby care items convenient. The Badge and Jot will carry you to your next guild or festival in style. The Badge was inspired by Frieda Anderson

Supply list:
  • Preassembled plastic 20"-22" tall 1/4" diameter Loc-Line type link armature for dolls. Available through CR's Craft Bear and Doll Supply Catalog website. An extra armature for spare parts, or some extra links purchased in bulk. Special plastic or metal armature pliers. Also from CR's Crafts. A "+" shoulder connector. It needs to be ordered separately. ( Not a "T". This is important.) Hollow vinyl doll hands and feet. You can cut them off a cheap doll of the right size and color, or you can order an American Girl- sized Springfield doll kit on Ebay.Do choose a doll with feet that will fit some of the shoes you have. These instructions will not accomodate spare BJD hands (yet!), unfortunately. Sharp scissors. Needlenose pliers. A Dremel, metal file or sturdy coarse sandpaper. Two-part epoxy putty, like Apoxie, Gapoxio, or plumbers' putty. Polyester or cotton quilt batting. Tacky glue. Button thread and strong sewing needle.

Japanese traditional dolls
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation search Japanese traditional dolls are known by the name ningyō in Japan, which literally means human shape There are various types of Japanese dolls, some representing children and babies, some the imperial court, warriors and heroes, fairy-tale characters, gods and (rarely) demons, and also people of the daily life of Japanese cities. Many have a long tradition and are still made today, for household shrines, for formal gift-giving, or for festival celebrations such as Hinamatsuri , the doll festival, or Kodomo no Hi , Children's Day. Some are manufactured as a local craft, to be purchased by pilgrims as a souvenir of a temple visit or some other trip.

*FREE For A Limited Time* If you're interested in making dolls and clothes for dolls then this could be the most important message you will ever read. From The Desk Of: Amy Fox
Dear Friend, Since you've found this website I suppose it's ok to let you know... "I'm an Doll Making fanatic." The truth is, I'm always on the internet looking for doll-making tips and tricks. That's what led me to put this website up. Let me explain ... While surfing around the internet, I stumbled upon something so fantastic that it immediately got my attention... In fact, I discovered something sooo amazing that at first I thought it was "too good to be true" like most things are. You see, a few months ago, I was actually doing some research on Catherine Roberts, one of the most well-known and respected doll makers of the last century and of all time. I noticed that most of her work was available and accounted for with the exception of one of her most important pieces of work

African doll making This site is about African doll making. I like to tell you about my inspiration and what kind of materials I use. But most of all I like to show you the results. On the next pages you can see and read more about it. Doll making A workshop hand made paper brought me in touch with paper and the possibilities. One of the other participants had already a lot of experience making dolls with paper and was willing to give a workshop to show us how. Following the workshop I made a few paper dolls myself but the use of paper soon became less satisfactory, I decide to use fabric instead as you have a lot of possibilities with all the different textures, patterns and colors.
(See photographs). The possibilities You can make dolls for in- and outdoors. The difference is the kind of coating you are using. For an indoor paper doll you can use wallpaper glue or cooked starch. When you choose to make a fabric doll you need polytex or paverpol for the coating. For an outdoor doll you use polytex with an activator to make the doll weather resisting so you can leave it out site in summer- and wintertime. Embroideries Hand made paper gave me the inspiration to do more with paper in my embroideries.
