What some of our graduates had to say about SUNY at Buffalo EM Residency....
"The emergency medicine program gives you great clinical teaching along with superb preparation for EM practice as well as for the boards. It provides a very comprehensive experience in all aspects of EM with a wide variety of work settings - urban, suburban, and rural. Training at multiple hospitals provides us with a wealth of learning opportunities, patients, and hospital systems." Jordan Kross, MD, Class of 2010 "All of the fellow residents are always eager to help each other out and give advice about ED management, off-service rotations, and the general Buffalo area. From the attendings, I almost always got a good "mini-lecture" on my ED shifts. Beatrice Loui, MD, Class of 2010" There is a real feeling of camaraderie and caring about personal and professional development that makes residency a time to enjoy and experience, not to just "get through". The Association of Emergency Physicians (AEP) is an association for all practicing emergency physicians, regardless of residency training and/or board certification status. AEP exists to represent the "in the trenches" emergency physicians, those who primarily practice clinical emergency medicine. AEP realizes that there are many myths promoted by those who espouse that only EM-residency trained and ABEM or AOBEM certified physicians should be working in emergency departments, and AEP works to dispel these myths. Among our goals, we are dedicated to eliminating the discrimination and unfairness that plagues our specialty. AEP realizes that there are many excellent emergency physicians practicing high quality emergency medicine who have been excluded from ABEM, AOBEM, and ACEP. The Association of Emergency Physicians (AEP) exists to represent these physicians
