NEEP is a regional non-profit, that increases and coordinates energy efficiency and market transformation efforts in the US Northeast.
http://www.neep.org/
Login Calendar Subscribe to Newsletter Through its Regional Deployment Initiatives, NEEP develops and facilitates working groups and advisory committees that include sponsors and other invited participants from the six New England states, New York and New Jersey. These organizations work together to increase the marketplace availability and adoption of quality energy efficient practices, technologies, and whole building solutions that minimize net energy use.
NEEP serves as an information resource for policymakers, advocates, and efficiency program administrators to support the adoption and implementation of public policies that advance the efficient use of energy in the buildings sector. We accomplish this through policy research and outreach, and through specific projects such as building energy codes, appliance efficiency standards, and high performance buildings. NEEP's Northeast Energy Efficiency Summit brings together thought leaders from across the region in public policy, business, and consumer and environmental advocacy, to support the vision of energy efficiency as a solution to the challenge of reliable and clean energy. We're are currently planning for our next  Summit scheduled for Spring 2011. Find out more.

The China-US Energy Efficiency Alliance is a nonprofit organization combating global climate change by promoting energy efficiency as the cleanest and least expensive energy resource in China. Through our powerful network, the Alliance pools financial and technical resources to help China design and implement large-scale energy efficiency incentive programs.
The work of the Alliance is funded by contributions from utilities, companies, and individuals who recognize the importance of energy efficiency as an effective strategy to address global warming and reduce pollution. The Alliance is able to maximize results by leveraging our broad technical and financial network, while keeping administrative costs to a minimum. READ MORE Global Climate Change China and the U.S. are the world’s two largest emitters of global warming pollution. Together, they account for more than 40 percent of global carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel use, more than 35 percent of the world’s energy consumption, and more than 30 percent of the world’s economic output, making their involvement to address the global warming crisis critical. The Alliance is working directly with China to use energy efficiency as a key strategy to curb these emissions while allowing for sustainable development. A new comprehensive report by the McKinsey Global Institute identified Chinese energy efficiency as the top global opportunity to curb energy growth in economically attractive ways and, in the process, cut CO

Welcome to the Website for Energy Efficiency Technologies for Railways
Energy efficiency for railways means reducing the energy consumption and, by this way, reducing the energy costs and the emissions of pollutants and CO whilst further growth of rail traffic.
Even though rail is more energy efficient than most other transport modes, the enhancement of energy efficiency is an important issue for Railways to reduce their contributions to climate change further as well as to save and enlarge competition advantages involved. Quick links Technology Database Advanced Search Project Database Discussion Forum
One key means of improving energy efficiency is to deploy advanced technologies. Therefore, the International Union of Railways (UIC) funded a project where all relevant railway energy saving technologies have been analysed, categorised and evaluated.
These evaluated technologies are available in the database on this website where you can get an overview of the potential of current energy efficiency technologies for possible improvements on existent rolling stock or when procuring new material.

CEE's residential initiatives address energy-saving opportunities for appliances, lighting, HVAC systems and gas heating. These products and equipment account for a sizeable portion of a typical household's energy bill. CEE utility members develop energy-efficiency programs, using the residential initiatives as templates, and pass the savings on to their customers. CEE also works closely with manufacturers to encourage greater availability of high-efficiency products. For detailed information about the programs described below, click on the appropriate links. Super-Efficient Home Appliance Initiative (SEHA) SEHA establishes "super-efficient" efficiency levels for refrigerators, room air-conditioners, clothes washers and dishwashers. By promoting products that meet these specifications, SEHA complements the ENERGY STAR Appliance Program and encourages manufacturers to increase efficiency levels.
