Florida libraries provide tips and training on e-government resources
By SharonS February 16th, 2010 4 Comments Karen Brown, library program specialist at the State Library and Archives of Florida, manages a program to harness the activities and documentation of libraries around the state, including coordinating a working group that meets once per month. The state library has given a number of training workshops to staff around the state on e-government. We look forward to learning more about the resources that this group produces. Nancy Fredericks, e-government services manager at Pasco County Library System (PCLS), used LSTA grant funds to create extensive e-government resource section on the PCLS website:

Florida - Libraries and museums
The largest historic restoration in Florida is in St. Augustine, where several blocks of the downtown area have been restored to their 18th-century likeness under the auspices of the Historic St. Augustine Preservation Board, a state agency. Castillo de San Marcos, the 17th-century Spanish fort at St. Augustine, is now a national monument under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service and is open to the public. Other Florida cities having historic preservation boards are Pensacola, Tallahassee, and Tampa.
