Upcoming Events INTERNATIONAL FOLKDANCE Israel Dancing with Shira Schwartz Shira Schwartz joins Tapestry's teacher line-up in November to offer instruction in Israeli dance. Shira has taught Israeli dance at the University of MN and St. Paul JCC for 30 years, following the many diverse styles and sounds that have been "in vogue" in the Israeli dance scene. She has choreographed Israeli dance for festivals and performances across the U.S., directed numerous citywide Israeli dance festivals, and represented Israel at the Festival of Nations for many years. She has taught Elementary School General Music for the past 27 years. CONTRA DANCE: Tedd Hodapp, caller Saturday, November 13, 2010 7:30 - 11:30pm Ted Hodapp has been dancing New England Contras, traditional and country-dances from England, as well as Scandinavian turning dances for over thirty years, and he has been teaching dance for nearly all of that time. Ted is the former artistic director of the Woven Ring English Country dancers, and regularly teaches Contras, Appalachian clogging, English Country Dance, and traditional dance forms from England in Europe and in more than twenty-five states across the country.
