(13 links) Complimentarianism vs. Egalitarianism (3) Because the very ideal of equality championed by egalitarianism (whether secular or Christian) is a permutation of a particular strand of Enlightenment thought, and because this particular ideal of equality is actually alien to the biblical anthropology and ethic, whenever and wherever it is read into the text of Scripture and its principles are worked out consistently, there is a competition with a biblical view of manhood and womanhood. (4) When the biblical distinctions of maleness and femaleness are denied, Christian discipleship is irretrievably damaged because there can be no talk of cultivating distinctively masculine Christian virtue or feminine Christian virtue. 70. The Gender Tree
This site deals with the Biblical, historical ,cultural and physiological aspects of gender variance. Help for wives in understanding gender issues. Dealing with churches and other Christians.
http://www.gendertree.com
Why Gender Tree In our culture we tend to think in terms of a dichotomy when we think of gender, Female or Male. I was in a really boring meeting one day and realized I am as guilty of this sort of thinking, even though I am “gender variant”. I realized we need a new model that was three dimensional, and visualized a tree with its almost infinite branchings. The body of Christ is divided all too often, because of our natural tendency to be uncomfortable with people who are different. This writing, and the pages that follow, are an attempt to both educate and challenge Christian believers to “Test everything, [and] hold on to the good” in obedience to 1 Thess. 5: 21 (NIV). To lay aside their learned reaction to such individuals, and take an honest look at the scriptures, and their own hearts.
I have dealt with guilt and shame and fear most of my life. My goal is to help those that are gender variant to understand that what you are, is not inherently wrong or sinful!
By the grace of God you are what you are.

International Federation of Chemical, Energy, Mine and General Workers' Unions Gender Issues Language : AR DE EN ES ... Search by country Click for ILO 176 Information You are here : Homepage Key issues Gender Issues Gender Issues Trade unions need women members to make unions stronger, and, likewise, women need unions to get their demands met and, ultimately, live better. The ICEM sectors are still largely male dominated, even though women are, as a result of globalisation, working more and more in the industries organised by the ICEM. Many of these industries increasingly require white-collar workers, not only in offices, but also in research and technology-driven jobs. These jobs are more attractive to women workers. All ICEM's work has a gender perspective (Contract and agency labour, HIV/AIDS, global agreements, collective bargaining, trade union organising, privatisation, restructuring, work-life balance, etc.). All of these work-related topics affect men and women differently, which is why the ICEM covers them all with a gender perspective. The ICEM publishes an occasional e-mail bulletin on gender issues that you can subscribe, or contribute to, by sending an e-mail to
