THE INVADERS AND THEIR EARLY SETTLEMENTS
[Image] Although Germanic foederati, allies of Roman and post-Roman authorities, had settled in England in the 4th century AD, tribal migrations into Britain began about the middle of the 5th century. The first arrivals, according to the 6th-century British writer Gildas, were invited by a British king to defend his kingdom against the Picts and Scots. A tradition reached Bede that the first mercenaries were from three tribesthe Angles Saxons , and Jutes which he locates on the Cimbric Peninsula, and by implication the coastlands of northwestern Germany. Archaeology, however, suggests a more complex picture showing many tribal elements, Frankish leadership in the first waves, and Frisian contacts. Revolt by these mercenaries against their British employers in the southeast of England led to large-scale Germanic settlements near the coasts and along the river valleys. Their advance was halted for a generation by native resistance, which tradition associates with the names of Ambrosius Aurelianus and Arthur, culminating in victory about 500 by the Britons at the Battle of Mons Badonicus at an unidentified location. But a new Germanic drive began about 550, and before the century had ended, the Britons had been driven west to the borders of Dumnonia (Cornwall and Devon) and to the Welsh Marches, while invaders were advancing west of the Pennines and northward into Lothian.

SUMMARY On Earth as it is in Heaven: The Cosmic Roots of the Bible by Michael Ledo is a groundbreaking reinterpretation of the true meaning of the Bible. Ledo asserts that the Bible is actually a combination of historical fact and myths, combined with the history of the heavens and the earth. In clear, lucid prose, Ledo discusses the biblical contradictions and irregularities, its astrological or cosmic intent, and how Judaism and Christianity can both be considered astral-religions. Parts of the gospels of Jesus, he even asserts, were representations of a cosmic myth of the Greco-Roman interpretation of the constellations. Landmark in scope, On Earth as it is in Heaven: The Cosmic Roots of the Bible reveals the Bible as never before. Ergolding, Germany - Archaeology Meets FTDNA - Overview
In Ergolding ( Bavaria Germany ), an archaeological dig by the Bavarian State Department of Monuments and Sights revealed more than 440 graves. So far, DNA analysis of six of the men of early adult age was performed. These 6 men were buried together in a wooden chamber, a grave identified as #244. The individuals were marked as 244A to 244F. "Individuals found in the western part of the chamber (244A, 244B, and 244C) lied straight on the back, body-by-body, and all 3 men were buried with swords, spears, shields, and spurs, like heavily armored mounted warriors (*). Historic value of the artifacts found in the grave 244 makes this place one of the richest Bavarian burial sites from the late-Merowig period (9). The grave 244 dates to the period around 670 AD. The eastern part of the burial chamber with the individuals 244D, 244E, and 244F was robbed and therefore no valuable artifacts were found." *His source for the above is - Koch H. According to a report in The Local, on August 12, archaeologists pulled the gold-gilded, life-sized head of a horse and a shoe of the emperor - who ruled the Roman Empire between 23 BC and 14 AD from a stream in what was once the Roman outpost Germania Magna. "There has never been a find of such quality and preservation in Germany," a statement from the ministry said, adding that it was a "sensational" discovery. Read all of this article with a FREE trial
