Secluded on fifteen acres of meadowland, Morning Glory Inn offers her guests the charm of a restored century home, herb gardens, and a long stretch of private beach. Morning Glory Inn was built in 1864 by the Rev. Robert McCune to house the First Congregational Church of Kelleys Island. Many of the original features are still present. Antiques of the period decorate each room, and in the gardens herbs of those early days abound. The private beach is a wonderful place for just relaxing or watching the great Blue Heron fish along the shore. Or perhaps create your own collection of fossils going back millions of years. For reservations please call 419-746-2560 between the hours of 8am and 7pm. Weekly rentals are available, weekend reservations must include two nights. We cannot accept children or pets. Take your time to go round the reserve. The wildlife is shy but if you are patient you may see some of our special residents, herons, woodpeckers, little owls, foxes, and even deer.
