I went through the boat to Tuyen Lam has (Fairy Stones), where visitors can rent stilt-houses, of which some are large enough to hold large groups, and some done for the pair couple. As Da Lat is Vietnam's point favorite honeymoon, I imagine a lot of newlyweds come here to enjoy the romantic view. If you want privacy, houseboats are a good choice. In between the hot days, it is happy to stay on the boat and fish. Come Dusk, birdwatchers can venture into the forests around the lake.
Here, visitors can go to the elephant. Bordered by ferns as high as a person, tracking through the jungle is just wide enough to allow me to mount large to overcome. I feel as if I entered a scene from the movie Jurassic Park. Sitting in a chair more Atop a towering elephant, I enjoy the show and aware at the same height as the treetops. Here and there I have a view of the village K'ho, smoke and fire up remote cooking on the air.
After the cold rolling for two hours I reach the eco-tourism resort of Mt Voi (Elephant Mountain). Is in heaven with the surrounding slopes covered with thick foliage rustling in the wind.

8:56 pm on September 29th, 2009 yes tigers will hunt hippos but only the children hippos if there far away from there mother, tigers WILL NOT even try to attack a adult hippo because a hippos powerful teeth will chop right through the tiger and if the hippo attacks a tiger the tiger will drown. A angry hippo is plain and simply a killing machine. Spirit Animal (1 comments)

Description and Characteristics:

There are two species of hippopotamuses; the Pygmy Hippo which is the smaller species, standing about waist-high to an adult human, and the river or common hippopotamus. The common/river hippopotamus which is world's third largest and heaviest land animals, weighing up to about 4,000 kg.
Both species of hippos have barrel-shaped bodies, short stocky legs, and smooth almost hairless skin. Their heads appear outsized with unusually broad mouths and their facial features resemble those of a pig. Hippos have a short, tufted tail
Hippos have thin skin that dies out quickly - they secrete a pinkish coloured oil that helps them keep their skin moist in the hot African climate. Hippos spend most of their days in the water or wallowing in the mud, generally coming up on land to feed at night.
River hippos are one of the most feared animals in southern Africa. It is claimed that every year more people are killed by them than by any other African animal

Selous Game Reserve
Selous Game Reserve is the largest wildlife game reserve in Africa. It covers approximately 45,000 sq km. Selous Game Reserve is named after the British explorer Frederick Courteney Selous who was killed in the area by an elephant during World War I. This Game Reserve is famous for its multiple activities; the northern part is set for game viewing, walking and boat safaris in the Rufiji River. In the southern part hunting is permitted by obtaining a hunting license. Dozens of birdlife at the Rufiji delta and a great number of wildlife like elephants, buffaloes, hippos, wild dogs and crocodiles along the Rufiji River are easily viewed. With 250 km long, Rufiji River is the backbone of the water supply to the birdlife and wildlife around the year. Plenty in water, it is believed to be one of the big water-catchments in East Africa. Rufiji River offers a boat tour during sunset after a full day exploration of wildlife. Boats can be attained in most lodges and campsites.

We spent three days in two camps in the Selinda Reserve. Two nights in the cozy Zibalianja and one in the Selinda. We had a pleasent, enjoyable and eventful stay. We basically spent it on the safari vehicle which allowed focusing on predators. On a typical day we had a 3-4 hours morning drive, an optional midday drive and a 3-4 hours evening/night drives.
