    What about the food?
You don't say anything about the food. I found food the single-most difficult thing to handle in india and I still do especially in the south. Its the chilli, the sugar, the ghee, the salt, especially black salt which just tastes bad. Its the "too much" of everything. This is a particular problem for travellers who don't have the benefit of indian homecooking where things are much more tolerable usually, except for the chilli.
    Increadible India truly Incredible!

Description Cardamom is a rather typical looking ginger plant except that it is huge, standing as much as 12 ft ( 3.7 m) tall. Thick, fleshy rhizomes give rise to erect shoots that bear two rows of linear-lance-shaped leaves each about 2 ft (0.6 m) long. The leaves are smooth and dark green above, silky and paler beneath. They taper to an acute point. The inflorescences develop on separate, horizontal stems that spread along the ground. They are loose panicles about 2 ft (0.6 m) long, consisting of many small blossoms that have white or yellowish petals with lilac veins and pink or yellow margins. The fruits are thin-walled, smooth-skinned, oblong, greenish capsules about 3/4 in (1.9 cm) long. Each contains 15-20 aromatic reddish brown seeds. Location Cardamom grows wild in the Ghat Mountains on the Malabar Coast of SW India, in an area known as the Cardamom Hills. It occurs in the understory of tropical rain forests at elevations of 2500 - 5000 ft (762-1524 m), where it rains about 150 in (381 cm) per year. It also grows in similar habitats in Sri Lanka. Cardamom is cultivated commercially in India, Sri Lanka, Guatemala and Tanzania.

Some states have more then one official language. Bihar in east India has three official languages - Hindi , Urdu and Bengali - which are all recognized by the central government. But Sikkim, also in east India, has four official languages of which only Nepali is recognized by the central government. Besides the languages officially recognized by central or state governments, there are other languages which don't have this recognition and their speakers are running political struggles to get this recognition. Central government decided that Hindi was to be the official language of India and therefore it also has the status of official language in the states. They would have arranged marriages for all of their children. When the parents of both families would arrange the marriages the parents of the women would have to give a dowry. Dowries were like gifts that the women's side of the family would give to the future husband. The dowry was usually consisted of goods that the husband could use, so he wouldn't have to supply them. These were given in repayment for the trouble they were going through by marrying their daughter. They thought that it was a big trouble for the men to marry their daughter so they gave them a dowry. Religion The Indus River Valley people's religion was a very important part of their culture. Their two main religions were Hinduism and Buddhism. Hinduism was around the Indus civilization before Buddhism. Buddhism was started in India in 365 B.C. by a young man named Siddhatha Gautama.
