MONDAY, January 21, 2008
Un-Official Minutes Call to Order: Board President Dorene Scheffel called the regular meeting to order at 6:33 p.m. At roll call, the following board members responded as present: Amie Adkins, Dan Feller, Robert Hendrix, and Dorene Scheffel. Daryl Weilage arrived at 6:34 p.m. Scott Charleson and Ron Stazzoni were not present. Administrators: Administrators present were Mark Schweer, Dave Black, Jeff Carper, and Art Hill. Guest in attendance: Dennis Friend, Amanda Barrett, Timothy Oswald, and Gary Bowen. Approve Agenda: Mr. Hendrix moved, seconded by Mr. Feller that the January 21, 2008 agenda be approved. Discussion: None Carried: Commendations/Good News: Superintendent Mark Schweer made reference to a recent story on WOWT television featuring Lewis Central High School and its jazz band, vocal music and pottery programs. At a future meeting, Mr. Story will present the story for the board. Comments from those in attendance: Amanda Barnett, parent of a student at Titan Hill intermediate school appeared before the board to express her concern that a room in the northwest corner of the new addition was not heating properly. Operations director Jeff Carper indicated that he would look into the specifics of that room and would discuss what he determined with Ms. Barnett the next morning.
